| I Can Type Faster Than You | |

I've always been somewhat of a typing fiend. Ever since using PAWS typing software (which is apparently still being released) on an Apple IIe in middle school, I've prided myself on being able to type faster than other people. Lame, I know. Anyway on net@nite episode 39, Amber talked about a nifty typing test site. Check it out at speedtest.10-fast-fingers.com. It's different from alot of other popular sites (like TyperShark) because it sticks mostly to common words and lays them out as if you are reading from a page. It also gives an overall score for easy comparisons! See if you can beat me. After about 5 rounds, my best was a score of 393 points. That put me in position 2930. I got 91 correct words and typed 496 characters. This includes fixing my few mistakes as I finished with 0 incorrect words. :) |

Well I gave the typing challenge a try and got 314. These words are too easy to type, they should have words like autochthanous. I am faster than you at typing big science words. |
